The Fascinating World of Cyber Security and Cyber Insurance

  • Thursday, November 23, 2017
  • 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM
  • PwC Tower, 18 York Street, Suite 2600, Toronto

Online crime will cost businesses more than $6 trillion annually by 2020, according to a report from Cybersecurity Venture.

“No business is immune from attack, big or small.” says Danny Pehar, Co-Founder and President of Cyber Insurance Education. “Although the stats are scary, it’s not all bad news, the key is understanding as much as you can about this industry.”

With Cybercriminals exploiting human nature by relying on attack tactics, such as phishing and ransomware security education is an absolute must.

This session will discuss:

  • Why is Cyber Security so different than any other industry and what does that mean to you and your organization?
  • Why is it so difficult to protect against a hacker, why are hackers so successful and what can you do about it?
  • What are the business issues you face when you are breached?
  • What is Cyber Insurance, what does it cover, what’s not covered, how do you get a better rate and what questions do you need to ask?
