TMAC Toronto Community:

TMAC would like to share that we have taken steps to build out partnerships with AFP Chapters across Canada, providing you access to a collective Canada-wide series of virtual educational seminars.  For TMAC members, this will now expand the number of sessions you can attend at no cost throughout 2021, with a nominal $25.00 attendance fee assessed on each seminar for non-members.  These partnerships complement our own TMAC sessions and reinforce our key mandates to connect, educate and support our practitioner constituents and will serve to offer additional value to your professional development.

AFP-Montreal is honored to virtually welcome Jim Kaitz, CEO and President of the Association of Financial Professionals, on April 20, 2021.

In this keynote session, Jim will focus on one of the important aspects of any organization, ongoing employee training. This presentation will address critical skills needed for treasury and finance professionals, including being a better partner to the underlying business and using data to drive success. The relevance of continuous career learning will also be addressed. Certifications would certainly be covered as part of continuous learning.

Jim Kaitz is President and CEO of AFP, an association that represents over 16,000 treasury and financial professionals globally. The organization established and administers the Certified Treasury Professional® and Certified Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis Professional® credentials, setting standards of excellence in finance. The AFP Annual Conference is the largest networking event for corporate finance professionals.  He was formerly EVP and COO of Financial Executives Institute, a professional association of over 14,000 senior financial executives representing 8,000 companies in the United States.

Prior to joining FEI in 1988 as the VP of Government Relations, he was Manager, Trade and Business Affairs at Baxter Healthcare Corporation. He was Director, Government Relations for the Scientific Apparatus Makers Association and joined FEI's Washington Office in 1983.  He was legislative assistant to the Honorable James Shannon (D-MA), a member of the House Ways and Means Committee. He is a 1978 graduate of Georgetown University.

We look forward to having you join us at the upcoming event!

Sincerely,

TMAC Toronto Board of Directors
